How Street Style is Taking Over the World

Street Style, the trend that seems to be everywhere right now. From Vogue Magazine to Highstreet brands, this trend has become more and more influential to the younger audiences.

Before discussing street style, I thought it be important to actually understand what it meant first.

Trusty Wikipedia described it as "Street fashion is considered to have emerged not from studios, but from the grassroots streetwear. Street fashion is generally associated with youth culture, and is most often seen in major urban centres", which for once may be trustworthy. Street fashion for me blew up when the likes of designer brands Off-White and Supreme came into focus. Who knew something like a black t-shirt with a white cross on the back of it could be seen as so cool and edgy, and influence a top Supermodels wedding dress.

Street style has been around for as long as I can remember, and it is one of the most followed trends of fashion history. I think this is because what a celebrity wears day in, day out is always papped, so they of course have to look their best! This is why supermodels Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Hailey Beiber and the Hadid sisters all have impeccable street style. This is their opportunity to finally show the world how they like to dress on a daily basis and not for a runway.

However, the one place that is owning streetstyle at the moment is of course China. Boy do they know how to dress. Not only have I noticed this but the whole of TikTok is in awe over the influential status of the clothes that they wear. Its effortless, yet cool, quirky but subtle, but most of all original. It's fair to say that China can not seem to get it wrong at the moment, and they are running the fashion game, (I mean just look at those outfits!!)

The one thing that I love about streetstyle is that is so personal for everyone, they're is no right or wrong. From tracksuit bottoms paired with a blazer, to biker shorts and a top, streetstyle is what you make of it. So keep it casual, keep it classy, but most of all keep it fresh.
